The City of Fort Lauderdale CRA will host a series of public meetings that are open to the general public. You are invited to join your neighbors, the City of Fort Lauderdale, and the Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) a meeting to discuss new mixed-use zoning classification(s) for the Central City Area.  City Staff and The Corradino Group will be available to provide information about the project and answer any questions. 

Central City CRA needs community input during this important effort. Your attendance is needed to help prioritize goals and identify community preferences, needs, and focus areas. With your valued feedback, the new zoning can be the next step in making the Central City CRA a distinctive place to live, work, play, shop and visit.

Community Workshop #2: Testing - Exploring Opportunities

Utilizing information obtained from the public input sessions, the realtors and Developers roundtable meeting, and Community Workshop 1, the project team prepared two regulating plan scenarios.

The scenarios and their components will collapse the entire length of the study area into two smaller geographic areas consisting of "South" and "North" to develop new zoning regulations. Those in attendance reviewed, commented and voted on specific elements for two regulating plans. The results of the polling was summarized in a document and participants of this workshop received an overview of the survey data collected. The survey results was grouped into major recurring themes that may be developed into a final list of recommendations for the revitalization plan.

Community Workshop #1: Listening - Identifying Issues & Preferences

This meeting provided attendees with the opportunity to participate in visual preference surveys to develop a framework for organizing potential development regulations for the study area. Participants were asked to prioritize smart growth and complete streets elements by order of importance to transform the study area.
