Direct Deposit

The City of Fort Lauderdale encourages newly hired employees to accept payment by direct deposit. All new hires will be asked to designate a financial institution where they would like their payroll checks to be directly deposited.

The Current Job Opportunities list for the City of Fort Lauderdale is updated weekly.  If you see a position for which you would like to apply, be sure to follow the instructions carefully. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. You must submit a separate online application for each position for which you wish to be considered.

Student Loan Forgiveness

That’s right! Under the U.S. Department of Education’s Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) pdf program, the remaining balance on your student loan may be forgiven after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments while working full-time at the City of Fort Lauderdale!
