Meet Your Instructors

Coach AlexisAlexis M

Alexis is a South Florida native. She has been teaching swim lessons with the City for two years. She is also certified as a Scuba Instructor and Dive Master. Alexis teaches all levels of American Red Cross swimming lessons, but her favorite course to teach is Level 1. Alexis enjoys scuba diving on her days off and stays active by playing in a local soccer league.

 

 
 


Coach HenryCoach Henry

Henry is originally from Bogota, Columbia where he studied chemistry/food engineering at La Salle University and earned his Master of Business Administration. Henry has more than 13 years working in the field of aquatics with Disney, Nova Southeastern University, and the City of Fort Lauderdale. Henry has vast experience teaching swimming and water safety to children and adults. He is certified in EMT, Paramedic, Lifeguard, WSI, CPR & AED. Henry enjoys going to the beach and playing volleyball during his time off.

 

 
 


Coach Keyandre

Keyandre Haynes is a Fort Lauderdale native who has been working with the City of Fort Lauderdale for seven years and has been teaching swim lessons for five years. He is certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor.  He teaches all ages from infants, children, adults, and private lessons with his specialty focus on children who benefit from individualized focus and attention.   


Coach PatrickCoach Patrick

Patrick is a Fort Lauderdale native and has worked with the City of Fort Lauderdale for more than 6 years. Patrick earned his AA at Broward Community College and is now pursuing his Bachelors in Criminal Justice at FAU. He is certified in CPO, LGI, WSI, CPR & AED, and First Aid. Patrick teaches all levels of swimming lessons and has coached competitive swimming. Patrick enjoys working out, jet skiing, and boating on his time off. Patrick is also the recipient of the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Lifeguard of Year award for 2014.  

 

  


Coach Ronnie

Ronnie is originally from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he began his journey in aquatics. He is certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, and AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association) in Water Aerobics. He has been conducting classes for six year and is very driven and passionate when it comes to teaching swim lessons and exercising.
