About the Division
The Public Works Department's Engineering Division provides project management for upgrades to the City of Fort Lauderdale's infrastructure.
Our team of professional engineers, construction managers, inspectors and administrative personnel provide internal project management, contract administration and development services which benefit our internal and external stakeholders.
Diverse project types include improvements to:

Asphalt Improvement Project in Melrose Park
The City of Fort Lauderdale and All County Paving will be resurfacing Kentucky Avenue and Melrose Circle within Melrose Park between Monday, May 15 and Friday, June 2. Crews will also apply new pavement markings at crosswalks and intersections.

Golden Heights Asphalt Improvement Project
The City of Fort Lauderdale and FG Construction will be resurfacing all streets within Golden Heights between Monday, May 8 and Friday, May 19. Crews will also apply new pavement markings at crosswalks and intersections within the neighborhood.

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Engineer Control Systems will be repairing electrical and steel components of the SW 11th Avenue swing bridge over the North Fork of the New River.

Asphalt Improvements in Melrose Manors
The City of Fort Lauderdale and The Middlesex Corporation will be performing roadway improvements on SW 11 Court and SW 10 Street between SW 27 Avenue and SW 28 Avenue that will extend the life of the asphalt surface and provide a better ride for drivers.

George English Park Boat Ramp Renovation Project
