IMPORTANT REMINDER: Biometric Screening must be completed by December 31, 2024 to avoid a surcharge in Plan Year 2025.
- Biometric screenings will remain a required activity for eligible employees who wish to participate in the City's voluntary Wellness Incentive Program (WIP) in order to receive the $500 (taxable) incentive.
- Employees and covered spouses/domestic partners are encouraged to complete a biometric screening annually so they can be alerted of potential medical issues and to seek appropriate intervention to improve their health and well-being.
- Biometric screenings MUST be completed by employees, spouses, and domestic partners by December 31, 2024, to avoid a surcharge in Plan Year 2025.
- Newly enrolled employees and their covered spouse/domestic partner (if applicable) have 30 days from their medical coverage effective date to complete the biometric screening.
