Project Description

The City of Fort Lauderdale is a proud recipient of a Made To Move grant from Degree® Deodorant and Blue Zones. This $100,000 grant will allow the City to enhance accessibility and connections to the Flagler Greenway, a multi-use trail along Flagler Drive between Broward Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard. The Flagler Greenway Transportation Equity Improvement Project will include new bike parking and placemaking features. The goal of this project is to increase opportunities for alternative, active transportation methods to promote health and well-being by enhancing the existing infrastructure to create a more comfortable and inviting experience for people of all ages and abilities using various modes of transportation.

The project has three objectives:

  1. Enhance accessibility,
  2. Increase formalized bicycle parking, and
  3. Enhance placemaking.
