Edgewood Neighborhood Stormwater Improvements Project

Post Date:September 21, 2023 6:00 PM

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with David Mancini & Sons, Inc. to make stormwater infrastructure improvements that will reduce flooding in Edgewood. Since construction began in January 2022, crews have completed the installation of most of the new infrastructure.

On Friday, September 22, 2023, crews will begin resurfacing asphalt and restoring areas where work has taken place, generally moving from west to east throughout the neighborhood until the project is completed in December 2023. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts
  • Crews will attempt to coordinate with neighbors prior to the start of work on each street.
  • Neighbors are asked to refrain from parking along streets where resurfacing is taking place.
  • One lane in each direction of neighborhood streets may be closed during work hours.
  • Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.
  • Access to driveways will be maintained whenever possible.
  • Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience and thank our neighbors for their patience as we work to complete this project as quickly as possible.
