In 2022, the City of Fort Lauderdale piloted the Housing Navigation Program to provide field outreach and intake assessments to connect chronically homeless individuals with appropriate services and housing. 

This unique partnership is a collaboration between the City and the TaskForce Fore Ending Homelessness organization to reduce displaced individuals in the City of Fort Lauderdale and address a City Commission Top Priority. 

During Fiscal Year 2023, the Housing Navigation Program achieved a 65% success rate, with 28 out of 43 participants accepting housing placement. Through the boots on the ground approach, the success rate has proved a need to continue the program into the 2024 fiscal year.
