The City of Fort Lauderdale is excited to announce a change in venue for City Commission meetings, relocating to the NSU Art Museum’s William and Norma Horvitz Auditorium (1 E Las Olas Blvd.) This decision follows the unfortunate flooding of City Hall in April 2023, which necessitated alternative meeting spaces. This move also creates a dedicated, single location for meetings for the foreseeable future.

The City extends its sincere gratitude to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for their unwavering support during the temporary relocation and use of The Parker and Broward Center spaces. Their collaboration has allowed the Commission to maintain its commitment to transparent governance and civic engagement.
Starting this Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the Fort Lauderdale City Commission meetings will take place at the NSU Art Museum, a dynamic cultural hub renowned for its commitment to the arts and community enrichment. The move to this vibrant venue aligns with the City's dedication to creating accessible and engaging spaces for public discourse.

A division of Nova Southeastern University, NSU Art Museum is conveniently located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, offering a central and easily accessible location for residents. Attendees can utilize parking facilities at the Riverwalk Center Garage, situated directly north of the museum.
