Traffic Enforcement and Education

Cost
The general price ranges provided are simply an estimated cost for a standard project. Actual costs may vary based on the specific project, location, etc.

Education
If traffic safety education classes are requested or recommended to address issues related to driver, pedestrian, or bicycle behavior, they will be offered within (8) eight weeks of the request. However, this is dependent upon coordination with the interested neighborhood or school representatives.
Enforcement
Traffic enforcement is provided by the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit. Enforcement requests will be completed based on current staffing and workload. Traffic-related requests should be emailed to Transportation@fortlauderdale.gov for consideration.

Radar Speed Sign
| Description | Radar speed signs indicate to drivers the speed limit and the speed at which they are traveling. If speeding occurs, the sign will flash at the driver to draw attention |

Radar Speed Trailer
| Description | Radar speed trailers are deployed by the Police Department to indicate to drivers the speed limit and the speed at which they are traveling |

| Description | VMS can be used to slow traffic by displaying a personalized message and encourage safe driving behaviors |
