Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) was created by the Florida Legislature more than 25 years ago to help low and moderate income individuals obtain safe and affordable homes.  One of FHFC’s special programs is the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program.  SHIP funds were established by the passage of the 1992 Sadowski Affordable Housing Act. SHIP funds are distributed to all 67 counties and 51 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement cities throughout the State.

The City uses SHIP to fund activities that include but are not limited to the following:

• Down Payment / Purchase Assistance for First-Time Home Buyers
• Housing Rehabilitation
