Effective February 5, 2024, the Development Services Department (DSD) will no longer accept paper permit applications or plans for new submissions. All new submissions must now be submitted digitally via the LauderBuild Plan Room (LPR).

LauderBuild is the City of Fort Lauderdale's Accela Citizen Access Portal (ACA). It's where our neighbors, businesses, and the general public are able to access government services online, 24/7.

Anyone May Use LauderBuild To:

  • Search and view record status and information

  • Pay fees and fines online

However, to gain access to the full range of services provided, we recommend Registering for an Account. The process is free and easy.

Registered User Features:

  • Apply for Building, Right of Way/Engineering and Planning (UDP) permits using the LauderBuild Plan Room (LPR)

  • Track your permits and other City accounts

  • Register as a new LP / contractor with the City

  • Apply for and renew business tax licenses

  • Submit Code complaints

  • Register rental property, vacant property or register as a landlord

The LauderBuild Plan Room (LPR)

The City of Fort Lauderdale also offers digital plan review at LauderBuild. Neighbors may upload documents and manage the review process from the convenience of their home or office.

**Remember, the City of Fort Lauderdale does not send unsolicited correspondence asking for money or sensitive personal information, the Development Services Department does not take any form of payment over the phone and we’ll never threaten you. Also, no government agency will ever demand that you pay by gift card, wiring money, or digital currency. The City of Fort Lauderdale would never contact you asking for personal details, such as bank account information, credit and debit card numbers, social security numbers, or passwords.
